Re: How DO you use Displace? One clip displacing another?

In case it is not clear, here's a video screen grab from Max/MSP doing exactly that. You can do it in After Effects too, very easily. I wish it were possible in Resolume, can't be too hard?

Re: Playback speed controlled by audio

I've updated the patch to version 2. It's attached to this post. As with the previous version, you need to provide a value for base & gain. If you are animating speed, base = 1 and gain = 10 will play the clip at its regular speed, but speed up when there is audio. If you are animating position, bas...

How DO you use Displace? One clip displacing another?

Here's my challenge, I want to use a clip of rippling water to displace a text effect. I've tried putting the text on one layer with the water on another, and using Displace as a blend mode. Didn't seem to work: the water just displaced itself. I'm not at all sure what the Displace effect does. What...

Re: Akai apc 40 mk2 mapping

Not sure how the Shift button is mapped on the APC, but perhaps that would be possible. Press the button directly for columns 1-8, shift+button for 9-16.

It would be straightforward to build a Max patch to do this, especially now that Max 8 supports MIDI mapping.

Re: Akai apc 40 mk2 mapping

Put the second set of 8 columns on a different deck, and use the bank select buttons on the APC40 to switch between the decks?

Re: Playback speed controlled by audio

I've made a simple Max patch that does this, and controls the playback speed in Resolume. If there is any interest I can clean up and make it a little more finished. I hope it may serve as a proof of concept for whatever the Resolume team comes up with. Here is an awesome video: https://youtu.be/ntY...

Re: Possible to not show video playback when previewing LED output?

The reason is simple, I'd like to be able to get a sense of what the LED fixtures alone would look like when deployed.

Possible to not show video playback when previewing LED output?

I'm playing around with setting up LED fixture output in Resolume Arena 6. So far everything seems to make sense. However, I was wondering if there was a way to suppress the preview of the source video and ONLY see the LED fixture preview? In the picture below, I'd like to only see the 3 LED fixture...

Re: Undocumented OSC commands? Looking for BPM resync.

I tried that, but... duh, I'm an idiot! There it is, all spelled out in uppercase RESYNC! Thank you for your help, and your patience! I read the manual! You sure? ;) So how do you figure out what the address is for a particular control? Although there is a certain logic to it, it's easiest to just e...
