One wau is to record audio simmultaneously to whatever you are recording video to (eg dv-cam, dvd recorder) from the line out of your sound card. This wont work with Resolume's 'record' function.

The new flash player has been doing lots of funny things to resolume, I had to republish my swfs again as flash 6 or 7 (even if they were already which is strange) after installing the new player and Studio 8. Not sure if that's a universal solution though. No probs since.

I Just run it in the background of my primary display, although dvd-max is necessary so that you can minimize resolume without stalling the output. Doesn't impact my fps greatly either and my systems not that beastly.

Transparency blend mode should work fine without artefacts if you make sure you don't compress the swf (which flash does by default, using jpeg compression) when you export it.

Never tried it to be honest but I presume that's the problem...

You can reduce the number of 'steps' per frame when animating parameters in a slider next to the fps slider in case that helps, I don't think it's at 1 by default but I'm not sure.

Yes it's normal. Resolume reserves the whole cpu much like a game. All VJ apps are processor intensive and high temps are common.

There are various standard things to do to free up cpu cycles like closing uneccesary background apps and turning off all the fancy stuff in xp.

Can you not use DVD-max? It shouldn't happen with that.
