I believe this was actually done with resolume by someone who posts on these forums, as i've seen the same two people involved in a video posted here before!

splashtop xdisplay does the same thing to any ipads connected on the same network....

they're all fairly slow, but at low resolutions with a fast network you may achieve decent results

If you have projectors with internal software that allows for mapping/keystoning/warping/etc its pretty easy to do this (same output to two projos on different surfaces)...

it really depends on the projectors you're using...

I'm assuming not something with those capabilities?

NVIDIA cards seem to perform better over the ATI stuff

more than 8gb of ram is redundant as resolumes a 32 bit app anyways

ultimately for that many displays I'd look at using multiple servers...

they will have to be perfectly still or it will not work.

I would not suggest more than a minute or two of video.

two GTX 780s would handle it just fine. You'll need a big PSU and motherboard though, as they're 300w cards

multiple decklink mini recorders will work, although they're picky in regards to their input signal please note they only work with YUV colorspace as well....
