Ok, it was just a matter of time. Now there are Gefen and Lindy optical extenders, they finally supports 4k 60Hz Display port. Very expensive - but it is also a matter of time  http://www.gefen.com/product/4k-600-mhz-displayport-extender-over-one-sc-terminated-fiber-optic-cable-EXT-DP-4K600-1SC...
You will loose both performance and probably stability also. At some point fps may drop in half with another output added. You can save some money with HX4 - new cheaper version of FX4.
H264 supports that every 1 frame is keyframe.
With Res6 you can keep footage library in H264 if resolution is 1920x1080, DXV only for hi-res, for event prepared content.
HDCP stripper
Cheap chineese HDMI splitter, where in 1st output is connected HDCP compatible device like TV.
EDID Emulator (i used kramer DVI) - so your macbook detects Kramer, not Aver and sends clean output signal.
I have this capture card (CaptureHd 3D H727) and tested recently in Resolume. It is detected, it captures HDMI signal (if it is not hdcp protected), but resolution is limited to 720x480.
Do not recommend. I had and dropped it from lineup. This piece of crapware overheats badly even with external blower. Buy gaming laptop. Or wait for new version.
