You could try opening the NI controller editor to make sure the controller service has started.

This is what I have been doing:
1. Add a layer router with duration of 0 or something small
2. Assign Midi mapping to it
3. Set its auto pilot to play random clip

When triggered it now triggers a random clip in the same layer.

Another thing I thought I should add is that if you are running video (HDMI etc) over ethernet extenders, be sure to use shielded cables especially if they run anywhere near 3 phase power cables.

Resolume interface fps will change to match the output monitor refresh rate. However, if you had vsync turned on and your GPU could only render the output at less than 60fps, it could drop it down to 30fps to keep locked with vsync. I would not expect this with a GTX 1080, but I guess it could happe...

My preference is to make a custom fixture in the lighting software with as many channels as I need - also so I can control what does what. Or you could just use generic fixtures. You will have to turn off Arena's dmx auto map though for that.

You could set all your lumiverse input sources to a virtual screen. Then you dont have to use layer to slice if you didnt need to.
