Onionskin

I’m not sure how it would be best implemented, but some form of onionskin when dragging the far extents of the timeline would be really handy – it would make refining loops easier. It would also be great if the playhead jumped to the end that you are moving while you drag it.

Re: Best USB2/Firewire Capture Card?

I’d also be interested in a solution for this – I’ve tried two cheap Chinese USB capture cards (EasyCAP and another with 4 channels) and both are awful with Windows 7. The drivers, after hours of fiddling around to get them installed, bluescreen an otherwise totally stable computer every now and the...

Re: Request: Composition bigger than 4096px

Might be worth (perhaps already implemented in 4) having a way to indicate that a file is too large. I was initially confused after trying to load some large images to scroll.

Re: Detaching Active Layers from Content Layers as an Option

I’ll add a bump for minimising a layer, it was something I was recently thinking about. I can understand that you want to keep everything visible, but scrolling around a large deck is a real pain, and any way to reduce that is worthwhile I think. There are very often times where you don’t need a lay...

Re: Thumbnails take too long to load - Possible solution

Actually, one of the new approaches we're considering for R4 is to have all thumbnails load immediately, but this would mean you would not have all the clips available for immediate triggering after first switching to the deck. We'd love to have some feedback on this, since we're not quite sure wha...

Animated gif workflow

What’s the best way to get animated gifs into Resolume? I’ve got a party coming up that needs videogame/8bit stuff, and single animated character gifs seem to be the only option for what I have in mind. I’ve tried using Vegas but I can’t get clean pixels when I export (tried DXV and Animation codecs...

Effects list - how about having each effect default to the collapsed state and hide the presets This already has been requested and is on the to-do list. Ticket #1226, thread http://resolume.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=6936&p=26337#p26337 Ah sorry, missed it or wasn't paying attention. G...

Tweaks!

A few small tweaks, not worth a thread each I think: Effects list - how about having each effect default to the collapsed state and hide the presets, otherwise for single effect you sometimes need to scroll past eight lines. Layer blend modes - it would be nice to be able to place the cursor over th...

Scrolling mapped to MIDI

Is it possible to scroll through the deck (left and right and up and down) with MIDI? If so, how would I map it? Currently the middle button of the mouse does a nice job with this but I'd like to be able to put the same functionality on the controller's Dpad.

Re: Super-cheap visual mixer/fader?

I think if you just need to switch things get far cheaper - there are quite a few boxes that do just that in a variety of formats.

That Citronic books looks interesting though!
