Re: Verbatim 47450 SSD ExpressCard

We have a purpose built R3 computer in the office, with an SSD drive, and it can run 6 1080p DXV clips simultaneously at over 60fps. Admittedly the computer is a beast overall, but you won't regret getting an SSD! Joris That's juicy! Do you think the ExpressCard SSD would deliver the same (or some ...

Re: Outline effect

Maybe something like the Find Edges effect could do the trick? Had a play with that last night, but don't think it can be used as a solution. The feature might perhaps be possible to implement as a mode in that effect? I think it's something that will be increasingly useful as more people use alpha...

Re: Verbatim 47450 SSD ExpressCard

I've recently been wondering about this also; it would be a very convenient way to get an extra solid state drive in a laptop without spending too much or adding bulk. But would it offer much of a performance boost? I assume simply putting the video files on a separate drive would be beneficial even...

Re: Functionality which could be useful.

4. Cue point marker in timeline once a cue point has been added - if this translated up to the transport viewer for the layer [ which is a great feature by the way ] it could be very useful. Untitled-1.gif I'd love this feature also, perhaps only visible when the Cue Points menu is expanded. (sorry...

Outline effect

I think an effect that created an outline (around the opaque areas in a clip) with size and hue variables could be really handy, and probably fairly easy to implement?

Saturation is both positive and negative

At the moment it seems that the Saturation effect only desaturates. To achieve a saturation increase you need to use the Sat. Scale control in Hue rotate , and if you want things to get nice and messy you need to stack a few copies of the effect. Would it be possible to have two sliders, one for pos...

Re: Compostion, Layers or Clips Properties as effect

I think what he means is saving a preset for the entire "effect-rack" and that it can be tricky to recreate the combination of all the effects involved. I wanted to ask for this before, but always forgot to  definitely +1 Yup, that's it! Sorry, should have made a new thread. Ideally...

Re: Compostion, Layers or Clips Properties as effect

Another related (but different!) preset request: How about being able to store all the settings currently in place? I often find that it can be quite tricky to recreate a 'look' because there are so many controllable variables across all the effects, and it would be very nice to be able to jump to a...

At the moment I just wanted scale; kind of got around it using the tile effect, but not a great solution. In the future I can imagine using others...
