Re: Idiron AV: Max4Live patches for Resolume

Has anyone successfully used the fft to osc patch? All my other max 4 live patches seem to be working ok, but when I load this one, it doesn't show the FFT units: http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/4042/screenshot20110205at123.png If I click where they should be, live crashes. I just did a library rep...

Clip Fade In/Fade out time

It could be interesting to have fade in/fade out parameters on a per clip/layer basis.
This could help to ease transitions between clips, especially ones that don't loop nicely, without the need for completely re-rendering source material.

Re: Inconsistent DXV performance

Strange. Just did another quick test, and it seems I can now get 3 layers playing with this footage at reasonable (25-30) fps. I tried restarting my machine before, and I'm pretty sure we turned off all the effects as well... Are effects at opacity 0 or bypassed still processed at all? Also, would h...

Inconsistent DXV performance

Once I heard about resolume and DXV one of the first things I did was grab some 1080p footage, re-encode as DXV, and see what it would behave like on my Macbook Pro. I was really excited when I could actually mix up to 4 layers of HD with about 25 fps. So now I'm working on a project, and I've recei...

Re: Improved random behaviors and pads for effect triggers.

That could be one way to handle it. Going back to music terms, you could have assignable values for the attack and release, with the sustain adjusted by simply holding the pad. Other than the whiteout example, I think this could actually be an effective way for triggering clips in general. It lends ...

Re: Mapping using a mask.

Before you spend a lot of time on this, I'd suggest testing a projector on the window... you're projecting on something that's designed to let light through, so chances are your projections are going to fire right though the glass ;)

Improved random behaviors and pads for effect triggers.

It would be great to have a switch for random/timeline behaviors that would allow you to lock the current value once the clip is triggered. For example, you could change the rotation of a "wipe" clip on a random basis, then once it's triggered, the value remains constant for that instance,...

Re: Mapping Questions

Hey VJ Air, just tried that plugin, and no dice... still messing up the mask when I try to transform the clip.

I think I'm going to have to transform everything on a per clip basis...

Trigger Finger with Resolume?

I've been working on trying to come up with an ideal setup for Resolume with a Trigger Finger, but it's slow going. So far all I've really decided on is using 3 of the faders for layer opacity, and the 4th for the crossfader, then I've got 6 of the knobs mapped to the dashboard. I can't really find ...

Re: ViDock

There's also the option of a DIY ViDock, which gives you a cheaper, more flexible external video card for your laptop... although there's no enclosure :?
