Resolume flash problem

Post by Kadete »

I bought a flash text pack (resolume.com/footage/fortyminus) from your footage but i can't manage to work on resolume.

Resolume can't load the swf files, but don't crash it.

I have the last flash, resolume 4.2.0 (tryed the 4.2.1 with same result) and Windows 8.1 updated.

Help please :(

Update: i tryed others flash that previous were working months ago, but now just load one to the deck :(

It is possible that Microsoft introduced their own "fix" that is blocking Flash usage. People are dropping support for Flash quickly right now. Google "adobe flash hacking team"

It's a Flash problem, most likely caused by a recent Flash update.

Please see other thread (can't post URL because it's not allowed on forum) - it looks like a recent Flash update will cause Resolume to cease to output if any Flash clips are loaded.

Most likely some conflict on your systems.

I've test my own Flash text files on Windows 8.1 test server, as well as a Windows 10 laptop, both with latest Flash update and everything works fine. All Arena 4.2.1 and 4.2.0

Edit: attached images from both systems. 1 with Resolume supplied Flash and other with my own Flash

Example Composition also works fine on my system, but one of my own sets, is not working, and after making sure all Flash installations are up to date, my large VJ set, which has a lot of Flash, is still not working, and is producing the same Flash initialisation error.

Can all the people with Flash problems please clearly state which OS you are running and which Flash files are working and which ones aren't?

There's a lot of info in this thread now, and it's getting hard to see the forest through the trees. :)

I am on Win7 (64bit)

I had NO PROBLEM with
- Flash ActiveX 17.0.0.134
- Flash NPAPI 18.0.0.160

Had Problems with R4 after Update to
- Flash ActiveX 18.0.0.209
- Flash NPAPI 18.0.0.209

Now I have deinstall the Flashplayer and now R4 works perfect.

Actually, i have no Projects running with flashcontent, so its no problem for me to be without flash till this problems are solved

greets

Win 7Pro x64 as posted on other thread. Have loaded the composition that causes the problem to see where the blank cells begin and will look through the Composition XML to see if I can locate the SWF that is causing the problem, and will post my findings.
