Base Tempo for BPM Sync'd Visuals

Post by Wasko »

Something I am trying to wrap my head around:

I'm creating some beat sync'd visuals for a non-120bpm track, let's say 85bpm.

While compositing in AE, I have the visuals perfectly match an 85bpm track (snare, kick, etc). I crop the playheads so that it loops perfectly and stays in sync and render this out.

When I load that clip into Resolume, it's now matching my track at (Resolume's) default 120bpm but off beat with the internal clock and therefor I'm unable to sync it with tap tempo. When I reduce the tempo in Resolume to 85bpm it's now too slow.

Is there a feature to interpret / set base BPM that I am missing? What do I need to do in my workflow to make sync'd visuals at non-120bpm tempos, then load + resync in Resolume?

Set Clip Transport to BPM sync. and either set the BPM of the clip to 85 if it's not detected correctly, or set clip Beats to the number of beats the clip has.

My issue was that I rendered the content at an irregular amount of beats (24 instead of 32).

Solved my problem, thank you !
