Trouble adding a second Lumiverse

Post by JetSet86 »

Greetings,

I am working on a christmas tree project that includes 500 Ws2811 pixels in strands of 50. I have 3 strands working and now need to add a second universe from my controller. I am a bit confused on how to output my second universe properly. I created a Lumiverse the same way I did for universe 1(which is working perfectly) but am unsure of what I am doing wrong with Lumiverse 2. It will not output to the pixels. I was also wondering why there is a universe zero within resolume and how that translates outside the software.

Which pixel controller are you using and how do you have it's input set up?

Resolume starts addressing from universe 0: subnet 0
This is the first universe available. Other devices might call this u1:s1

If your pixel controller supports art-net properly, Resolume should be abel to pick it up as node, and list it in the output device selector: https://resolume.com/support/en/dmx#sen ... led-lights

You can also address it directly by the IP, and as last resort, send to broadcast.

The manufacturer of your pixel controller says it supports, 4 output, each port 680 pixels, that's about 16 universes worth of channels. The controller will probably need some internal setup, so it knows how you have the pixels connected to it, and where the Art-net inputs need to be sent.
Most controllers do this via a web interface on their ip address, so try checking that out with your browser.
If you have a manual for the device, it should explain this in detail, if not, try contacting the manufacturer for it.

Once you have the internal patching done in the pixel controller, you'll now which universe you need to send to from Resolume.
