We have just released Resolume version 2.3! We fixed a lot of bugs but also added features to make your live as a VJ a lot easier. You probably got bored with doing the screensetup everytime you got ready for a gig. Well so did we so now Resolume remembers the last applied screensetup so when you start Resolume it will try to load the last used screensetup. And you probably also got sick of first having to loads some decks to get started. So did we so we added an option so you can assign what decks to load on startup.

We are not only here to make your life easier but also to make your visuals look better, fresher, more cutting edge, like stuff that you have never seen before. For this we invented the Feedback Source plugin. With this plugin you can apply feedback effects to your footage (which is really cool) but it can also be used to synthesize abstract motion graphics without the use of any pre-made footage! Checkout a video that we made and a tutorial to get the most out of this exciting new feature.

Now if this does not impress you our new SOURCE footage DVD.ROMs will! Bundled with The Resolume 2.3 installer you,ll find some samples from each DVD so you can get a taste of all the footage we have availale on DVD.ROM.

Also included in this 2.3 release is one FreeFrame plugin (Rect Fields) from Dave Green: http://www.inside-us-all.com But that's not all. http://www.VJFX.com generously donated 1 FreeFrame effect: IscFastBlur and 3 FreeFrame transitions: IscfCubeH1, IscfCubeV1, and IscfSheet.

used it for 3 nights over the weekend, love the fact it saves the screen set up, anything to make my life easyer during set up. You guys should make it so it also loads some channels into layers, ie so you can turn your machine on put res in the start up and boom before you have to do anything there on the screen you have something running like vj logo. had a few crashes with it and have a few problems loading MOV files, old and small files from 1.51 days, that ran fine back then. Does anyone know a really good bach video file converter? I'm happy to pay for one but all the demo versions I have tried seem to suck massivley.

Anyhow on the creative side of it WOW, feedback, by my gig on sat I was fairly down with everything new and I was creating some kick ass visuals, I was grabbing bit and bobs of footage from all over the place. Including the clips I made up of ankor wat, dam thoses guy I carryed my 3ccd video camera and tripod through the jungle for 16hours in a mini bus, and stayed with a scary mafa type who was formar kamer rouge to get unique footage of that place and when I upgrade res, there in the bottem right corner almost the same shot of the faces leading to the a gate. That shot killed me I spent hours shooting that, on the cack of a motobike.

anyhow i got side tracked you guys rock, I felt my visuals went to the next level on the weekend with res 2.3, midi control was better, though I also think I took the reinstall as chance to config things better too, I found mymself recording a fair few time just because I was so impressed with what I was doing I wanted to keep some of the mixes, also so I can use them as source when I don't really have the same level of energy.

Virtualdub does good batch processing of vids, and its free :)
I sometimes use Pinnacle's TRex app too, but it has less options than Virtualdub
Also I think Discreet Cleaner does batch processing, but will cost you some money.
