Did i goof up?

Post by r8d »

hi, due to a series of problems i finally out of sheer necessity bought a hp dv9507 because i have a really big gig on saturday, and i needed a machine quick.
its a centrino core2duo T7100 1.8 Ghz / 2 gb RAM/Nvedia GeForce Go 8600M GS/17" mahine, which i now found wont load XP.
So my question is, am i s****d? coz i have a live 40 ft LED outdoor gig on saturday, what should i do?? will resolume run ok on vista? should i look for a replacement(only for the show, am stuck with this one)

Check the forum, there are enough topics on running resolume in Vista.

If you keep getting blue screen errors there should be a setting for SATA that gives you two options - ACHI or ATA. Try messing with that setting and let us know how it goes.

On a side note, I bought a new Toshiba that came with Vista loaded on it. There where no video card drivers available for XP (at least none that would load properly). Needless to say, I returned the laptop in a hurrry.
