Assigning an effect bypass to a dial causes crash

Post by DJMW »

This is latest Resolume Avenue, version, 7.23.2.51094

As in the title, attempting to assign an effect Bypass to a Dashboard Dial causes a crash. I have tried on both PC and Mac machines and using layers and clips.

Currently I am working around by assigning opacity with envelopes, but it is much clumsier and prevents some setups I would like (switching between different effects on a clip on layer).

Thanks

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This will be fixed in the 7.24 update.

Thank you.

In the meantime, I have found another workaround. If you first assign Bypass to a different control, eg Timeline, it is then possible to change it to Dashboard without crashing.
