MIDI incremental / nanokontrol2

Post by themesser »

hi guys, happy to join this forum :)
I just got my nanokontrol, nice gear for the price! I can map easily pots and sliders, buttons in toggle state (0 or 127) after editing the nano setting using korg editor... but!
I wanted to use some button to cycle through media on the selected layer, or switch between the 3 fav blend modes. But no way to change to incremental in resolume nor in the korg editor. Is this even possible without having to go to Max or Puredata and pre-filter the midi signal ?
thank you for reading me

Layer-based MIDI mapping in Resolume allows you have relative controls based on the selected layer.

There is also a semi-hidden feature in the latest version of Resolume that can probably accomplish what you want for clip cycling:

yes relative...
pressing a button and have it switch / cycle through different blending modes by incrementing its value should be a basic thing; ableton has it, millumin and module too

We don't have an elegant way to offer this to a user. The shortcut would probably need to be assigned to the first of the UI elements list you want to toggle through. At that point it would conflict with the shortcut assigned to trigger the element itself.

We offer a different way to access these values.

Assigning a note or keyboard shortcut to the blend mode dropdown in the layer tab lets you bump through the blends. Assigning a cc lets you scroll though it as well. Similarly you can assign a cc to scrub through the first 127 clips in a layer.
