The Setup-
permanent in a nightclub
4 projectors, 2 pairs doing the same thing on 2 different curved walls.
So..
Proj 1 blend Proj 2
Proj 3 blend Proj 4
Input slicing basically the same for the 2 pairs, bar a couple pixels difference.
The Problem
Proj 1 is driven off 1 video card in a mac pro
Proj 2,3,4 are from a triple head, different vid card.
Blend across 3 and 4 is perfect
When enabling the blend on 1 or 2, Res can't hang-turns projector 1 into a complete screen blend, on the wrong side, and projector 2 does something similar, and equally undesirable.
I threw a mask on 1 and 2 to temporarily solve it, but a mask on curves with a bunch of Bezier points isn't working perfectly, couple spots with pixel wide bright spots where both projectors hit.
Here is the advanced output preset

Any suggestions are appreciated, Thanks
Edge Blending...On the wrong edge
Re: Edge Blending...On the wrong edge
If the blend is on the wrong edge, have already tried flipping the slice(s) on the X or Y axis? Or checking your projector(s) to be in the right ceiling or rear mode?
Re: Edge Blending...On the wrong edge
It hink you won't be able to do this this way, because you can't tell a slice which other slice it has to blend with.
-you will have to double the height of your comp, and copy the displayed content, to the upper half(see below),
then set up the slice blends so that only 2-2 overlap .
-displace your layers to the bottom, then
-you can do an easy copy with a layer router, input from composition, displaced to the top.
-set the layer routers layer to disable column trigger to avoid accidental swich off.
some weeks ago an other user had issues like this, but I can't find the topic.

Here's the topic that Ravensc mentions: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=10971&p=43542&hili ... ing#p43542
Re: Edge Blending...On the wrong edge
Ravensc, this is a great solution but I'd like to expand on it.
Hookerboot, let's say you have 3 layers in your current composition (adjust as needed) and it is 1024x768.
1) double your canvas to 2048x768 (I think horizontal rather than vertical but it's the same principle).
2) add a layer router at the top and select composition
3) add 3 layers below your comp as follows: new layer 1 & 2 are layer routers of layer 7 and new layer 3 is a black slide (I use the Solid Color from Sources at 0% saturation and brightness and 100% add
4) shift layer 1 to the right so X=512
5) shift layer 2 to the left so X=-512
The result would be a 7 layer comp:
7: Layer router of comp
4, 5, & 6: the three layers of your current comp
3: blackout layer
2: Layer router of layer 7 shifted to the right
1: Layer router of layer 7 shifted to the left
That way you don't have to shift any of your existing layers or look at a double comp on your screen all night and you have discrete control over layer 1 & 2 so you can add effect, color correction, etc....
Now in your advanced setup you can choose layer 1 or 2 in Input Source of your slices to create your blends.
