FSB speed important?

Does FSB or ram speed matter when choosing a computer for resolume? I'm deciding whether to get a p4 with a 533Mhz fsb or 800Mhz fsb, but very similar Ghz on processor. It's just a matter of price. Also ddr333 vs ddr400. I've read that really all that matters is the processor speed - so does the fsb speed or ram speed matter too?

as far as i know; ddr400 ram will need a FSB of 800Mhz to get up to the full speed double data rate ram or 400mhz means it runs at 800, if there are 2 sticks in.
so it is faster having 2 sticks of 512MB then 1 stick of 1024MB

though i could be wrong

I understand the workings of that, it's similar to how a raid0 array works, but that doesn't relate to the question. I was asking whether it would make a difference in resolume? Should i spend the extra money to have a faster bus speed?

oh, well having a faster transfer speed to the ram should make a difference when loading clips into ram, and playing multiple clips at once, but your hard drive would probably be the bottleneck in this situation.
