Just that: Autopilot for columns and/or layer groups. That would be very useful for me in some situations.

Would be difficult and impractical if all the clips on that column have different lengths.

I think we have a ticket for this.
The idea would be to select a specific clip in the column which would fire the auto pilot action to the next column.

Many movies I use don't care about the time line but are visuals on the BPM. However, I do look for matching videos per column that I send out on multiple screens. Now those movies will run randomly on the layer since they all have different durations. It would be nice if all movies based on the BPM can run a number of Bars. Eg 1 bar to x and then continues to the next column. Regardless of whether it is on timeline or BPM sync. With this option I don't have to manually choose the columns, but the selected footage remains in sync without manual intervention.
