I downloaded some .mp4 video files from http://www.archive.org and i want to use it in resolume. i see that res. doesnßt support this format. what can i do ?

convert them to something more appropriate like indeo or mjpeg

to become a superstar vj ;) you gotta teach yourself a bit about video editing and codecs on your computer. Research and read up on quicktime, indeo, and understanding why keyframing is important. Mp4 using very high compression, and thus uses a lot of processor power to play. It uses few keyframes and uses formulas to determine what video exists between those key frames, which is not good for resolume - also making it nearly impossible to vary the speed on it (these formulas only are applicable for normal speed playback). Do some research - and play around with video editing and stuff...
