Dropshadow applying top entire comp

When I apply a dropshasow to a text block clip the effect is applied fine

However when content is triggered the drapshadow is applied to the entire comp

How can the dropshadow apply to the text only and not the content when triggered?

You're using a text effect.
That takes input from the layer below and anything you do with the effect clip will also be applied to the incoming texture.

Try using the text generators form the Sources panel instead.
