Count vidéo and times.

Hi everybody,

i'm totally new on FFGL (but maybe is not necessary)...

I explain my project, i want build a plugin able to count how many times a video has been played in a playlist and adds up the time played.

In fact i use resolume to play lot of vidéo for few sport game (like foot or rugby championship). At the end of each match we need to check how many times and how long we played each video for sponsors (and yes we must be held accountable...)

Si in my resolume i make an auto playlist with all vidéo of each sponsors. Vidéos can be put several times in the playlist.

So imagine. In my layer 2 i've 45 columns, and on each columns i've a vidéo.
COL 1 Video 1
COL 2 Video 2
...
COL 25 Vidéo25
COL 26 Video 1
COL 27 Vidéo 3
COL 28 Vidéo 1
COL 29 Vidéo 4
COL 30 Vidéo 2

So how I could do so at the end of the match ? I want press a button which tells me:
Video 1 played 14 times, total duration 15 minutes
video 2 played 7 times, total duration 3 minutes....
Like that we can check if the passage times are well respected. You will say me you just need to check the number of vidéo in your playlist but no, because sometimes, we need to put an other media when there are stoppages in play, and therefore during this time the sponsors do not come through.

I admit that this is completely outside of my skills. So if anyone can help me with this I would be greatly grateful!

I think this is a job for OSC, not FFGl.

Via OSC you can get the clip trigger events, then can ask for the clip name, and then count the time in your OSC app.

If this format is good for you, you can use this app for clip logging. Easy to load to excel.

I'll try to make it with osc. It's right, i think it's much better to use it. I come back to you with my project.

Hi zoltan, i trying your software i think your software is totally awesome !

But, before buy your plugin i want try, so, how to export the log at the end ?

If you have few minutes to explain me your software for my request before buy it will be perfect. If it's work i'll buy you few licences

The logs are written to Documents/controller clip logs,
Load the composition in Controller, enable the clip logging in the preferences, and once the connection is set up, and you change clips, a new file with the current date should appear in the folder.
Make sure OSC output all preset is selected in Resolume OSC shortcuts.
