When opening the media manager the main text before all files are found is "Searching..." and there is no indication of search progress.
Currently when searching for media, the Collect Media dialog can be opened to show the current total of found media files so far.
Showing this number near the main Searching text and having it update as files are scanned would show that the scan is still progressing and how far along it is.
