Trying to find a goos server solution for an upcoming project. We're toying with the idea of getting 4 cameras sent to the server so we can manipulate them and comp them (ie PIPs, etc). It's a pretty straightforward output/playback system, but obviously having 4 input cards seems like a heavy lift for any system.
Has anyone done this? Have any ideas of what it would take in terms of computing power, hardware, etc?
Initially we were going to spec this out of a Mac Studio but waiting to see before we get to crazy.
