No idea yet what's wrong there.
The encrypted drive might be a factor, but hard to say.
Maybe disabling bluetooth could also give a hint.

I've tried to recreate this on High Sierra, and the latest Mojave by encrypting my drive with File Vault, but Resolume 7 started normally for me.
You might want to try to update your OSX, maybe that would resolve the issue for you too.
