I think your second issue with not being able to load different versions would be solved by purchasing a licence for Wire, then you can compile your patches.
https://resolume.com/support/en/wire-sa ... solidating
If you are on Mac I could have a look at making a Freeframe effect for you with Vuo if you'd like, then you can use it with the transition phase method. It might be more cost effective than buying Wire in the short term

Oh nice that's a likely reason for it.
I will likely purchase the Wire license to keep it all straight and then port the exported version to other project computers we have.
I am not familiar with the Vuo way. I used to use Quartz Composer big time back in the day.
Can Vuo also make Wire patches or is the product somewhat different?
Would like to learn more about how that all works.

Good to hear you were a QC user, no wonder you felt comfortable jumping into Wire.
Vuo Pro can export freeframe effects for use on Mac. It has lots of good functionality like 3D object rendering which is not yet available in Wire. It's also familiar as you can use the QC lexicon to search the node library. There is a free community edition to get started with.

Yes that was a big help knowing how QC worked.
For the meantime I am going to paste in here the shareable version of this Patch I made.
I think the best thing to keep in mind is that the video itself will need to be changed as I don't think it will retain any of that file.

I'm glad you managed to do it in Wire. When I looked at it in Vuo I realised that I could not change the conditional logic to switch the layers at the 0.5 position like you required.

i made you a version that can have 6 different bumper videos where you can switch between. I think that will do the trick.

Hi tijnisfijn,
Thanks for sharing.
Did you forget to assign the category as a mixer?
If I drop it onto Arena it does not install it for me even though it does give me the install prompt. If I assign it a category in Wire myself without a licence I get the wire watermark of course. When I open it in Wire it has no category assigned.
I had not even noticed that the bumper mixer provided controls in the layer panel previously, very unobservant of me. I did wonder how we would choose the bumper movie in your patch. Great functionality.
Nice that it gives access to the curve controls for the transition in the original bumper mixer too.

Oops, you were completely right. I forgot to put it on mixer. I updated the previous versions so now they should work it's just a very simple six way choice. It doesn't have the fantasy curves and stuff, but you could edit if you want.

Thanks that's working.
Because I had installed the other version but it had not appeared in the transitions list this new version was not showing up either until I found and deleted the other copies in the shared folder.

Wow this is so cool thanks for this @tijnisfijn !! Amazing!
I will definitely be giving this a try and checking out the functionality.
