slow perfect transitions?

I use resolume 2.3 to mix video and pictures.
I want to do very slow transitions from one picture to another.
the result is very bad.
The slider donÂ´t work perfectly from 0 to 100 it loose some positions .some times it jumps from position 3 to 5 ,etc...

some one now if that is a software or a hardware problem?
can a midi controler do perfect transitions?

hardware is much smoother.

you could use 'tobybears midicontrolcentre' and 'midiyoke' to knock something up I think
