Controlling Avolites from resolume

Post by djsky »

Hi.

I can control Resolume from an Avolites desk (using artnet and dmx shortcuts in Resolume) but I want to be able to fire cues on my Avolites desk (Titan Quartz v15) from Resolume (eg when I run a clip. Is there a way to do this?

Cheers.

Try mapping DMX to either the Columns or use your encoders and map it to the layer select option.
(Both are in blue)

you also can do dmx / artnet out .... but there is some work to do how and what comand is send at what point.
artnet can only be set via advanced output ad on special areas of the output and not on single clips.

osc would be the easy way

you can use some dummy clips (black to white i.e.) and a virtual output on a seperate layers, but this is not so straight and easy when there are many cues you want to have.

You would need to send DMX into the console and then have the console use those inputs as triggers. I know the MA can do this, and I'm pretty sure Avo can as well. In Advanced Output just create some single channel dimmer fixtures to be your outputting DMX channels.
