Turns out the laptop is a bit older than I thought... a 2007 model. It can only take 3gb of RAM (max)... so I'll be replacing one of the 1gb with a 2gb stick later in the week and hope that helps some. I told my boss that ideally I should be running 6-8 gb of RAM for this software. We'll see ...

I should clarify... the above images show Avenue/Resolume open. And that's literally all it's doing. It's not playing any clips or anything.
