Newbe looking for experience (NL)

Post by tonvankampen »

Hai all,
Maybe a stupid question. But I bought Resolume in private (thank you resolume for black friday :) . I really love it. I’m a experienced hobby lightjocky but looking for something new. And now I want to play. Just had one little gig in the theater where I’m a volenteer. With my 47 years I’m out of the party scene. I’m looking for tips how to find places / events where I can gain experience. Thank you so mutch!

Hi Ton great to hear that!

If you want to do this as a hobby and aren't concerned about the money, I recommend getting involved with non-profit organizations for events or online videos (you know you can also record in resolume short promovisual/videos and then publish them on YouTube or something like that).
For Liveshows - Lots of organizations like "Fridays for Futur", Wikipedia-NL, etc. etc. also regularly launch events and they are happy to have experienced and technically specialized helpers. But there are also enough small open-airs at sumber and music festivals during wintertime which don't charge for entrys or just a litle and are therefore very grateful for people who take part/help out for free, you just have to find out what's going on in your area in that direction. But it shouldn't be difficult to get involved; it would be a great+ & good if you had 1 or 2 of mid-range projectors (1080p/4200LM or higher) and an inflatable cinema screen (you can get one on eBay for around 300EU 3.8x5.2m or so) so that you can offer a complete service.

I am convinced that you will find your place and can make a lot of people happy and become yourself in that process & wish you in this sens a wonderful and great summertime 2025
