VJ Loop Trading

Hello everybody.
I know this isn't the most original idea in history but.. why don't we create a community to trade video footage?

I've been working all day trying to configure an FTP server on my PC for trading VJ loops. Unfortunately I found out that my broadband connection ISP doesn't give me a public IP (nor dynamic nor static) but a private one. This way it is impossible for anyone not connected to the same network as me to connect to my FTP.

Nevertheless I would like to trade video loops with other people that use Resolume. We could organize trading through other systems such as p2p programs (WinMX would be best) or other means.

I know something is already working at audiovisualizers.com but most services there are commercial.

If anyone is interested in trading footage (possibly original) please contact me or reply in this thread with ideas, comments, suggestions (or insults).
good day to all of you,
MJS (mjs2020@fastwebnet.it)

I would be interested... I'm mostly looking for high quality content. Not too interested in the standard fractals and shapes.

We use a lot of our own original footage. Lots of landscapes, time lapse, and driving footage. We also rip and re-edit DVD's. All is 640x480.

Problem is, these files are large...

Let me know...

I'm up for it, i mainly use footage that i've shot, then compressed to cinepak codec.

can send via cd or set up via kazza or winmx

no problems with large files here but i have a traffic limit - that makes setting up an 24/7 FTP difficult. usually the transfer-limit is full after two days... but if a monthly transfer limit would be acceptible, its maybe worth a try.

is use lots of captured material - re-edit dvd's and tapes and some dv-recorded stuff. usually all indeo and 320x240

KAZAA would be really great! It has a really fast traffic and easy to handle!
There could be a keyword in every file, like "resolume" (also to feature the great software!) or vj, ... or something else!
great!

Direct Connect might also be an option... I'm also thinking about one central site where you can find previews / frames of VJ footage.. So you know what to look for... saves us all some unneccesary downloads ;-)
