I just built a computer with an RTX 5070 - this has DP2.1b and HDMI 2.1 outputs. The TVs I am trying to input into has HDMI 2.0 ports. Resolution is 3840x2160 60hz. The end game is to run into two TVs at this resolution using separate DP ports and a computer monitor (HDMI) - plus eventually output to a lower res projector.
This is not going well. I've purchased a few different DP to HDMI adapters that are supposed to support 4K UHD - but these do not work. The other part of this is that I want to build a patch panel, so the ports on the computer are not being plugged in and out all the time.....This is a gigging rig. Cannot find components that support this. Either I get no signal, or the screen is flickering off and on.
Does anyone know of a professional solution to this mixmash of different specs? I cannot afford to move up to TVs with DP inputs - its significantly more expensive, and then not much is actually supporting the DP2.1b spec yet anyway.
Ideas, suggestions, advice - all most appreciated....Thanks.
DP to HDMI issues
Re: DP to HDMI issues
Your System should be able to run 4 independent outputs with ease....
just a few things:
1. Make sure also the cable can handle the 4k bandwith
2. try to turn hdcp off inside your gfx card settings for all plugs
3. the dp to hdmi adapters can be a point of failure as well but you said you allready changed them so i dont mention this side.
