hii, i'm looking into buying a router to create a local network for NDI and similar stuff in live concert visuals, but i have no clue what specifications to look for. Any recommendations or clues? i dont have a very permissive budget but i want something reliable and im willing to invest in something that i know wont let me down hahah

To run NDI/visuals at live shows you need a predictable, stable, and prioritized wired network — i.e., managed switches (IGMP snooping + querier), dedicated VLANs for NDI, QoS, and at least Gigabit per device, and 10Gb for the encoder/media server. Use Cat6a/Cat7 cable for 10G, enable DHCP reservation/static IP, consider jumbo frames if all devices support it. Avoid putting the main NDI stream over Wi-Fi (use Wi-Fi only for control or NDI-HX if required).
