Layer Sorting

Post by exelbonsai »

Hello everyone.

This might be a silly question, but I haven't found a solution.

Is there any way to have the layer sorting reversed?

That is, layer 1 at the top and the subsequent layers below it.

Best regards from Berlin

Not really, unless you turn your monitor upside down, but then text is hard to read.

Bottom to top makes sense if you think about putting a footage on top of another, the top one will cover the bottom one.

Why would you prefer to reverse the order?

Hello

As with other applications, I'm used to the first track (layer) being on top. So when I want to assign an effect from another track (layer) to the topmost track (layer), I always think of the first one, not the fifth one as it currently is in my case.

Okay, it's a shame that it's designed this way; I guess I'll have to live with it...

P.S. When I rotate the monitor, my LED lamp always falls off...   So that's not a good idea either.
Thanks for your feedback.

What other video editor apps place the first track / base/ background on top?

Perhaps it's the translation; my English isn't very good at all.

I'm used to always having my main tracks on top, and my tools like DaVinci Resolve or Vegas always number the tracks from top to bottom.
