The first few seconds of audio in a movie are inaudible

Post by Poe »

I launch movies, and very often the first few seconds of audio are inaudible. I launch the column, the movie plays, everything seems OK, but there's no sound. After a few seconds, the audio starts playing from the point where the movie is playing.

I've tried:
- Adjusting the buffer size
- Movies with embedded audio
- Movies with separate audio in another cell

It's essential that it works because the audio is synchronized with the movie. And I can't get it to work.

Thank you very much for your help.

Which audio driver do you have selected in the preferences?

- if DirectSound drivers are selected try to switch to Windows audio

How are your clips encoded?

- if they are in some compressed format like h264 try to convert them to DXV with Alley
