Hi
I need to play video content on a very long led wall strip. What would be the the best way to do this with resolume?
I thought about splitting the content in segments and stacking that them to get a standard 4k container. But would that be a smooth transition across the different segments?

Re: Signage wide led screeen
The controller setup is not the problem, more how to get play the content. When I have a bar moving from side to side the content is not perfect in sync when the 4 segments are in different layers

You should only need to play 1 layer, but slice it so different parts of it sit where the screen mapping is, unless your video is more than 16k pixels wide which is the max content width, in which case you need to slice it and stack in 1 video before putting it into resolume.

Re: Signage wide led screeen
But I need to set the composition size to the right width right?
I also have some Full HD videos for other screens

Re: Signage wide led screeen
its easiest if the comp is size of the movie, apart from anything you can preview it all then. Also you don't need to do any scaling.
If you need you HD outputs, you have to make the comp high enough to fit those in the map as well. So HD+ wide screen height.
In advanced you set your input slices to where they need to be, then you set your display output to the Processor size and arrange the output transform slices in there.
TBH the way arena slices isn't that great, I'd like to skip the composition and set groups to the correct sizes and render straight into them with no messing around with clip/layer/group sizes. I think maybe mad mapper might be a better option. I'd use vvvv and spout myself weird maps.

Thanks for your answer!
That would be a lot of unused/black pixels, how does it behave performance wise?
Skip the composition would be great, but I don't understand why it's not possible. In advanced output you can select the input form layers/groups, but it's still limited to the comp size
