Layer opacity applied to a preview slice

Post by visions »

I use an external monitor to make a personalized preview of the stage. In it, I put all the slices and a slice with 'preview' as source. But since last version, when a clip is connected to a layer, it applies the opacity of this layer, so I cannot preview there the clips that are in layers at 0% opacity. Opacity of a layer has nothing to do with clip preview slice. This affects the slices whith preview source only: in resolume preview panel it shows correctly. I hope I have made myself clear, it was difficolt to explain with my bad english.

If I understand you correctly, I think this is whats happening. The preview can preview multiple things if you select a clip by clicking on its name field you will see it in the preview. If you click on a layer name field you select the layer and you will see the layer output that will include the layer opacity.. but if you select the clip, you should see it and only the clip opacity will be visible. Hope this helps you.... and i understand correctly

But this behaviour changed since last version. Before that, the opacity of a layer didn't affect the preview. And there is no option to ignore opacity like other sources.

There has indeed something changed between 7.23 and 7.24, we're looking into that
