hi was womdering does anybody know how to prepare visuals for 3d viewing ,ie wearing 3d glasses with one lens red and the other sian...does it have something to do with offsetting the colour on the visual?

yes this can be done, but only if you are creating the 3d objects to be viewed in 3d. I've done this using Maya - and could help you with how it's done, but before I even get into all this stuff - are you creating the 3d scenes you are using? If filming them, you will need at least 2 identical cameras running in perfect sync... its all about capturing the scene from two closely placed perspectives - similar to how the eyes see. In modern "3d" projection, they use two projectors projecting directly on top of each other, one with each perspective playing in sync (similar to how the eyes see). These are passed through polarized lenses. The "3d" glasses are polarized as well so that one eye sees only one projector, and the other - well you get the idea. So to do this you'll need a few things. the old fashioned blue and red 3d can be done with a single projector - but i'll explain that if you've got the scene under control. Hope this helps get you on the right track.

in 3d max a plugin called mary is a dual cam & does the 3d glasses effect perfect, but it will double your rendering time !.
