Hi, I was thinking that the random playback option would be a lot better if you could control the duration it plays from the randomly selected spot.
Right now it just spams it more or less as quickly as possible, but if you were able to set it to continue playing after it randomly selected a spot on the clip (perhaps from 5 frames up to about 10 seconds or so) then it would be a lot more useful. Think about how cool it would be to have random on a long clip at say, 10 seconds, then to slowly ramp up the speed so it was flashing images extremely quickly.

Using the IRClipSA fx You can do it. You need set the random mode for parameters of "Run" and all "Steps N".

Took a bit to get that to work, but after fiddling with it I couldn't really get a more satisfactory random from it. Neat plugin, but not quite what I'm looking for.

Re: Request: Time control on random playback
I was mistaken. To achieve the necessary effect it is enough to add FX in a composition and randomize one parameter "Step 1" (parameter "Run" it is not necessary to start). And also to choose a clip in parametres "Layer N" and "Clip N".
