hi,
does anyone use an Intensity Shuttle (USB3.0) on a Z68-Board?
the support of Blackmagic told me it´ll only work with X58-Boards, MAYBE on a Z68...
thx.
greets

Re: Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle (USB3.0)
i think it just depends on the usb 3.0 controller which should be from nec..
maybe the chipset is also incompatible.... i would ask again what's the point of the problem.

Re: Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle (USB3.0)
the point is:
X58 48 lanes = 16+16+16, using two graphiccards there are still 16 lanes for USB3.0
Z68 16 lanes = 8 x 8, using two graphiccards you have a problem to transmit the USB3.0-data (internal using PCI-e-Bus)
so, if there is enough space for some extra data, i think there is no problem... but if you are really using the cards there might be a problem.
Therefore my question is anybody here using this card on a Socket-1155-system

Re: Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle (USB3.0)
hey,
sorry, we also just tried the shuttle on an x58 and an x79 chipset. But worked in both cases.
best,

Re: Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle (USB3.0)
ok X58 is no problem... but good to know that X79 works too
so maybe i change my old i7-2600K to a i7-3820 and a new X79-baord
but i think i´ll get some money for 2600K and ASUS Maximus IV GENE-Z?!

Re: Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle (USB3.0)
8 ramslots rock
but i would wait now until more of the new x79 cpu's come out - there will also be a 8core processor...

Re: Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle (USB3.0)
hmm, yes that's the main problem! But i think i'll try it with my Z68, maybe it'll work
