Projector advice
Hi there , I'm new to video mapping , as is I'm just using vvvv to create videos , I'm going to buying resolute arena and was looking at this projector http://www.acerdirect.co.uk/Acer_P1220_ ... ersion.asp . I was wondering if it's any good and would be suitable for mapping. Thanks in advance

Re: Projector advice
Research using www.ProjectorCentral.com for reviews.
Don't pay more for 3D features unless you are sure you really need it.
Buy the highest lumens and resolution you can afford. Also consider the replacement lamp cost. LED projectors cost more but have lower cost of ownership since no bulb to burn out.

1024 x 786 is not rly nice

think about that you only will use parts of it for your shows.
just as allready said,
best resolution / brightness you can afford.

I have three projectors and one of them it has with similar specs, is not a powerful projector but it depends the location where do you want to use it, I use this kind of projector in small locations. To be safe try to go with as much lumens as possible.

Pay attention to contrast ratio. Never go below 1000:1 for video mapping. This is also one of the key things that determine the quality of the image.
