AMD Radeon R9 M290X (rebadged HD 8970M)

Any experiences with this Gpu (and the latest Catalyst drivers) and Resolume ?
I'm thinking about buying this Gpu for the Clevo p150sm (this Gpu is also included on some alienware configs).

I just today tried the Resolume benchmark out on a Toshiba P50t that has an R9 M265X (also rebadged) and it could barely do one layer of noisy 1080. This was in a store so I couldn't fiddle for too long but I was very disappointed by the performance. No doubt the M290X is better to some extent and you might be able to guestimate by checking out their previous incarnations benchmarks but personally? No.
