Short and simple question: Is there any way to allow your "slice input sources" to not bypass the composition commands that take place when trying to map specific layers to specific sections of a single display?
I am currently running the latest version of Resolume Arena 4.1.11 on a Macbook Pro 15" mid 2010 with a single mini display port out to an external display set up (LED video wall) involving multiple surfaces (5), all handled past the output of the computer. I am trying to set up my layers so that each of the 5 surfaces can be individually assigned to different layers while having a 6th layer be assigned to the wall as a whole cohesive 5 surface output. But, I want to be able to use the mixing effects (composition control) within the specific layers. Currently, Resolume bypasses the composition when you assign layers to specific slices.
Basically, I go into advanced output screen setup I am able to detect my one video wall display at 1920x1080 resolution. I add 5 extra slices for a total of 6 slices (main, center, left, right, bottom left, bottom right). I use the output transformation screen to size my slices to where they live on the video wall and then I assign the input source to each layer. They all play in the correct spots and look perfect, but I end up having to give up the transition effects and controls. Is there any way around this? So each layer acts as a composition output just to a specific part of the screen?

Why don't you just have a composition slice and manually scale and move using the layer tab to the right spot? Then use the crop effect on the layer.
Boom, you have one slice set to composition input which has a layer for each area and all your FX and transitions work. Also a layer ontop to handle everything.

Awesome, that will do it! I knew there had to be a way. Thank you so much.
