4.2 DMX freezes

Using dmx auto map with a MA2 Lite. Video output would completely freeze randomly throughout the night.
Only the output would freeze, could still load/unload videos on layers by nothing would render. Restarting resolume would fix it.

This sounds like a rendering problem not a dmx problem. Could it be something exceeding memory space?

Dirtyjohn_lv, I had the exact same issues on a show a couple of month ago right when Arena 4.2 was released. It was a 4K comp that I was running on an XFX R9-270X 2GB GPU using OSC triggers. The problem went away as soon as I swapped the XFX card with an EVGA GTX 980 SC ACX 2.0 4GB. Then a few weeks after that, I experienced a similar issue with another older rig on a 2K comp and solved it the same way.

I have a feeling that DXV3 is helping comps run faster but that in order to do so, it displaces more of the work to the GPU.

Highly doubt it was exceeding memory space ... I have 64 even though resolume uses 3. Usually happens when playing 1 clip back.

Could also be an issue with that particular board, just remembered the session crashed near end of the show and we had to disconnect MANet/Artnet in order to restart session.

Good to know, also a good thing I don't to many shows like this right now. The titan x is already on the books to swap out as soon I get approval to buy a datapath x4. Oh I love the corporate world

Both systems I was describing were using Datapath X4 video processors but the bottleneck was definitely the GPU.

I've been considering getting either the Titan X or even the newer Titan Z for one of the big projects I have coming up so I'd love to hear what you think of the Titan X.
