Control DMX output to fixture but hide layer visually

Post by thearchiteck »

I've done some reading but since the DMX features are new to Resolume I couldn't find any info on this I figured I would reach out to the community.

Essentially I'd like to control simple colour output to a few DMX fixtures and trigger the changes in Resolume. This works great except that I don't want that colour to be layered into the projection output at all.

Right now I use columns with simple colour maps and then map the DMX fixtures to the colour map in the advanced output.

Any way I can omit this particular layer from the main output?

Thanks, any help or suggestions is much appreciated.

"Routing Layers to Slices" chapter in Resolume manual tells:

You can choose to bypass both the the layer's opacity and its Solo and Bypass toggles. This is useful if you want to see the layer only in this slice. Simply toggle off the Input Bypass/Solo switch, and then bypass the layer in the composition. The layer will no longer render in the comp, but it will stay visible in your slice.
