Recenty did an event for about 9 hours. Im using Arena 5.0.1 on windows 7 x64 in a machine with 16GB of RAM. Resolume's Ram usage slowly crept up through the whole event from about 1.1 GB at the start to 1.7GB by the end. I have about 5 decks with about 80-150 DXV3 clips that I was switching through throughout the event. One deck has 8 pngs that are 2000x700.
Resolume showed the red "LOW MEMORY!!" text in the bottom left corner after about 1.4GB used. Because Resolume is currently 32bit, doesnt that mean that it has access to ~3.8GB? 1.4GB is not even half of 3.8. Is this normal behavior?
Ram Usage
Re: Ram Usage
As Solution :
Convert the .png into 1 Frame DXV mov files and see if that change anything.

Re: Ram Usage
Are you 100% sure all your media is in DXV3 codec? Typically when I get the red "LOW MEMORY!!" text in the bottom left corner is because I forgot to convert some ProRes 4444 clips to DXV3.I have about 5 decks with about 80-150 DXV3 clips that I was switching through throughout the event.
The other possibilities are:
- - you have too much in a particular deck or you're switching back and forth between large decks. Try to limit the number of clip per deck to 100 and see if you still get the same warning message.
- you have too many layer in relationship to your comp size. What's your comp size (2000x700?) & structure (number of concurrent layers for instance) and what's your GPU?
