Re: Strobe with solid colors freezes resolume
Confirmed crash, 3 different Windows 10 machines, Arena 5.0.1. 1 with external monitor, 2 machines with no outputs.
Re: Strobe with solid colors freezes resolume
Tried on W10 with GTX980 and can't seem to get it to crash.
I tried with both the Solid Color as a source and as an effect with the same results.
@elgarf, do you get the same problem with both the [Solid Color] effect rather and [Solid Color] source?

@Oaktown, [Solid Color] source, or image. Also check your transition time ~= 0.
I've make some tests: duration below 150, guarantees freeze.

Yes it was all set to 1ms. I wonder if it has anything to do with VRAM and that your GPU can't handle the load. What's your GPU?
Re: Strobe with solid colors crashes resolume
GeForce 840m. Maybe it's only hardware/driver problem, btw not so often people want to show clips with duration below 150ms

Re: Strobe with solid colors freezes resolume
I tested on my win10 desktop with a 980ti and it crashes. Currently Running Driver version 361.75.
Also tested on windows 7 with a GTX 760. Tried having no screens plugged in and an extra screen plugged in. Could not get it to crash.

So this crash appears to be on some windows machines only, just tried again on my mac with screens attached, no crash unfortunately.
