APC40 mkII different modes?

Hey guys,

I've been using my APC40 mkII for over a year now, but I've never actually understood the difference in the three modes: Alternate Ableton Live Mode (Recommended), Ableton Live Mode, and Generic Mode.

I've always used Alternate Ableton Live Mode, could anyone explain these differences? One thing I've noticed is that the buttons never light up and I can't customize them. Anyone know a way to customize button LEDs?

Have you enabled midi input and output in the preferences? If you want to customize colors you may have to use it third-party software.
