I am not sure when this changed, but last December I posted a bunch of 10 second Countdowns that worked great. I added an Envelope on the size parameter to make the text zoom in or zoom out during the count.

Testing today on 7.3.1 is showing that the size parameter is not staying centered like it did before. Now Size is acting more like a Zoom with the bottom edge of the clip locked on the bottom edge of the output. So increasing the Size parameter makes the text grow and drift off-screen. I think the Text Block Line Width parameter is what is locking it centered horizontally. So the text is just rising up until it goes out of frame.
I tried the Scale parameter and it is doing the same thing. Rising up off of screen, instead of staying centered. Any advice?
I can share the comp if you want. But I tried loading my presets on a blank new comp and it does the same thing.
