Hie guys¡¡¡
I have a problem between TC1 and Resolume 7.10. When I send NDI signal from TC1 to Resolume in 1080@50p I have drop frames in Resolume output by HDMI.
If I send same signal in SDI from TC1 to Magewell converter (SDI-->NDI), in same switch and network, in output Resolume it's fine.
I think the request that are Resolume doing to TC1 isn't compatible and request that receives from Magewell is well.
Could help me anyone with experience in NDI or Tricaster?
Can someone from the Resolume team how resolume makes the request to the host?
Thanks

Re: Tricaster TC1 to Resolume issue
After to analyce with Wireshark all packets that Resolume receives, I can see that all works fine when Resolume request video NDI in TCP. UDP don’t like.
Re: Tricaster TC1 to Resolume issue
All the connections are handled within the NDI libraries Newtek provides, pre-compiled. We don't really see or can change how that behaves.
Check the NDI gotchas on our support page here: https://resolume.com/support/en/NDI_inp ... di-gotchas
Maybe that helps a bit diagnosing connection issues.

Re: Tricaster TC1 to Resolume issue
Recomendations of Gotchas are simples, about interfaces or ip address. When I request from Studio Monitor signal is perfect. Only fails from Resolume, we see a drop every minute.
Thanks
Thanks

You mean the NDI clips gets grey like when it disconnects, or are you seeing one black frame?
Is Wifi disabled on the machine?

Re: Tricaster TC1 to Resolume issue
Hello, first of all thanks for the help. We have very well identified the problem.
When I receive a variable NDI High Bandwidth stream, Resolume receives a signal that fluctuates between black (0 kbps) and moving lights (132 Mbps). At that moment of movement, Resolume is not capable of processing that bitrate change. We have tested with Studio Monitor and it renders the bitrate change perfectly. We have tested on 4 new Windows 10 x64 laptops with an nVidia RTX3060, in TCP it works better, with a Ubiquiti 24-port POE++ switch.
We have been testing this configuration for 3 weeks and we have not made any progress, we are very interested in solving it and even doing the tests that you indicate to solve this problem.
Thanks.

Re: Tricaster TC1 to Resolume issue
Can you keep an eye on the CPU usages, per CPU cores, and check if you see any spike in a core when the bitrate goes high?
NDI decoding is single threaded, maybe the CPU can't keep up with it with the other tasks Resolume needs to run in parallel.
Does the image drop out in Resolume, or do you see the last frame for more time?
BTW, UDP packets are designed to get lost

Re: Tricaster TC1 to Resolume issue
I think that Windows isn’t dedícate to real time video process neither support 400Mbps of video.
I’ll try in a MAC and tell you.
Thanks.
