Refunding Resolume educational license

Hey, I have bought an educational Avenue license on black friday because my AV extracarricular at my high school had plans to use visuals in the future. I have used the license for a few hours to try to learn the software with some friends. But since our school decided that we can't get the funds for a visuals setup (beamer / led wall) my license is practically useless. I have no intention on doing VJ jobs since i prefer doing lighting. I saw that within 30 days you can get a refund and i was wondering if this also counts for licenses that have already been activated. Can somebody help me (and if how) to get a refund for my license?
